About the Role
We are hiring a SIEM/SOAR Production Services Specialist II to support a cybersecurity production environment on a contract basis. This role is focused on maintaining and optimizing security platforms, troubleshooting production issues, monitoring security events, and automating security response processes. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Splunk, SIEM/SOAR technologies, IAM/MFA, and L2/L3 production support in a highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, monitor, and optimize Splunk, SIEM, and SOAR platforms in a production environment
- Develop and maintain Splunk queries, alerts, dashboards, and security detection rules
- Develop and maintain SOAR playbooks to automate security response and incident-handling processes
- Monitor security events and investigate and troubleshoot production issues
- Provide L2/L3 production support for cybersecurity platforms and services
- Support IAM, MFA, authentication, authorization, and access management processes
- Perform incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), troubleshooting, and service restoration
- Participate in production releases, change management, and operational support activities
- Troubleshoot issues across Linux and Windows environments
- Work with SQL/Oracle databases and Unix/PowerShell scripting as needed
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, application, and operations teams to resolve complex production issues
- Utilize tools and technologies such as Ansible, Jenkins, OpenShift, GitHub, Remedy, and Dynatrace
- Follow ITIL-based service management and operational processes
- Participate in on-call and after-hours production support when required
- Document incidents, resolutions, procedures, and technical processes
What We re Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in SIEM/SOAR, cybersecurity, or production support
- Strong hands-on experience with Splunk and SIEM technologies
- Experience with SOAR platforms, security automation, and SOAR playbooks
- Strong L2/L3 production support experience
- Hands-on experience with incident management, troubleshooting, RCA, and service restoration
- Experience with production release and/or change management processes
- Strong Linux/Unix knowledge and solid Windows troubleshooting experience
- Experience supporting IAM, MFA, authentication, and access management
- Proficiency with SQL/Oracle and Unix or PowerShell scripting
- Understanding of ITIL and IT service management processes
- Strong communication, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Experience in financial services, banking, or another regulated environment is preferred
- Cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP or other relevant certifications are a plus
- Experience with cloud, DevOps/CI/CD, networking, Ansible, Jenkins, OpenShift, GitHub, Dynatrace, Tower, or BladeLogic is a plus
Compensation
Hourly Rate: $60/hr to $65/hr
