Howyou willdo it?
- Attend Apprentice School 2 nights a week in Richmond is mandatory.
- Apprentices will be trained and will perform on HVAC mechanical equipment and controls on client sites.?
- Apprentices will participate in certifiedtrainingthrough Service Technical Academy that will build skill sets to provide continued opportunities for recognition, monetary rewards and advancement.
- Through coaching and mentorship, apprentices will develop skills to troubleshoot and resolve both technical issues as well as customer needs.?
- You will keep JCI, contractors, and the customer advised of job progress and issues as needed.?
- You will meet attendance requirements for required Union training for first year.?
- Provide recommendations and solutions to ensurefacilityis running efficiently to include upselling opportunities.
- Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
What we look for
- Must be a member or willing to join the local union.
- Tech Savy, using AI tools and handheld devices
- Generally required knowledge includes mechanical HVAC systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques
- Effective interpersonal skills to properly represent Johnson Controls to customers and other outside contacts in an ethical and professional manner.
- Leadership skills to support the activities of Mechanics working on non-complex, non-critical mechanical HVAC equipment on a job site
- Self-starter with ability to eventually work independently.?
- Prioritize safety in all forms.
- This position requires a valid driver?s license.

Preferred?
1-2 years of trade school or college in a technical emphasis.?
Pay Range: $19.80 hourly rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet. Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement.
