As a CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Programmer, you will be at the forefront of our manufacturing operations, playing a critical role in producing components and parts to exact specifications. You will work with a variety of materials, including metals, plastics, and composites, using state-of-the-art CNC machines. This role is perfect for an individual who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and has a strong background in programming, blueprint reading, and technical skills. The ideal candidate is a problem solver who enjoys the challenge of creating precise and intricate parts for a wide range of products.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and write programs for CNC machines using CAD/CAM software.
- Read and interpret technical blueprints, schematics, and models to determine machining parameters.
- Set up and operate CNC machines, ensuring the correct fixtures, tools, and materials are used.
- Test and modify programs to increase efficiency and ensure products meet quality standards.
- Monitor machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, adjusting machine controls or control media as required.
- Perform regular maintenance on machines, tools, and equipment to ensure optimal operation.
- Collaborate with engineers and machinists to optimize machining processes.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior team members.
- Keep abreast of latest advancements in CNC programming and machining technology.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of 3-Axis experience in CNC programming in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in programming, blueprint reading, and technical skills.
- Experience with setup and operation of CNC machines.
- Strong understanding of machining operations and processes.
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM software. Fusion 360 software.
- Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred.
- Certification in CNC programming is a plus.
