job summary:
This role provides focused technical AI Governance support for existing efforts around AI-enabled delivery and software development, including the review of agentic coding solutions and agentic development enablers (i.e., MCP Servers). The Specialist will translate governance expectations into practical engineering guardrails, support risk-based review and approval, and help delivery teams adopt AI capabilities safely, consistently, and at speed.

responsibilities:
Shape risk-based reviews: Engage early with delivery teams, assess high-risk AI initiatives, coordinate SME input, define guardrails and evidence needs, document decisions, and prepare review-ready materials.
Translate SME requirements into delivery expectations: Collect and clarify requirements from AI Governance Working Group stakeholders and SMEs, then convert them into actionable guardrails, approval conditions, evidence expectations, and implementation guidance for delivery teams.
Support AI-enabled delivery adoption: When designated, support AI Governance reviews for development specific AI technologies and other high-risk solutions to identify risks, required mitigations, and practical operating constraints.
Create usable governance materials: Draft and maintain process documents, checklists, FAQs, decision materials, and review artifacts that help teams understand governance expectations, pilot guardrails, review outcomes, and next steps.
qualifications:
- 6-10 years of experience in software engineering, technology delivery, architecture, security engineering, or related fields.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work credibly with technical teams and translate technical risk into business, governance, compliance, and executive-facing language.
- Interest in AI Governance and AI Risk. Able to turn AI risks into clear delivery requirements, including required controls, evidence, mitigations, approval conditions, and audit-ready rationale.
- Working knowledge of AI coding assistants, GenAI tools, agentic workflows, prompt patterns, model/tool limitations, data leakage risks, human oversight, monitoring expectations, and responsible AI practices.
- Hands-on technical background with understanding of application architecture, SDLC controls, CI/CD, APIs, cloud platforms, access models, data flows, and implementation tradeoffs.
