Senior DevOps Engineer : AZURE

Contract Role
POSITION SUMMARY
Leads secure, repeatable application and infrastructure delivery for the firm's Microsoft Azure environment. The role emphasizes production-grade CI/CD, DevSecOps controls, observability, and reliable release operations for systems handling confidential legal and business information.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design reusable CI/CD pipelines and release patterns using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
• Automate application and infrastructure builds, testing, deployment, approvals, artifact handling, and rollback.
• Integrate security scanning, policy checks, secrets management, and least-privilege access into delivery workflows.
• Build deployment automation with Terraform/Bicep and PowerShell/Python; support Docker and Kubernetes workloads.
• Establish Git branching, versioning, release, and environment-promotion standards.
• Monitor deployments and production services, troubleshoot incidents, and maintain concise operational runbooks.
REQUIRED SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS
• Strong Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Git, and CI/CD experience.
• Hands-on Terraform and/or Azure Bicep experience.
• PowerShell and/or Python automation skills.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes/AKS.
• Azure Key Vault, RBAC, Managed Identity/service principal, and secure secret-management experience.
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, or Log Analytics.
• Strong production troubleshooting, change-control, documentation, and security discipline in an enterprise environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• DevSecOps/security tooling such as GitHub Advanced Security, Snyk, SonarQube, Checkmarx, or Defender for Cloud.
