Azure Integration Architect Platform Engineering & TIBCO Modernization

We are seeking an experienced Azure Integration Architect to lead the design, architecture, and implementation of an enterprise integration platform on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Azure Integration Services, cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, DevOps, CI/CD automation, and enterprise integration architecture.

The candidate will be responsible for establishing a secure, scalable, and resilient Azure integration platform from the ground up, including infrastructure provisioning, automation, enterprise toolchain integration, and operational governance.

The role also involves assessing and modernizing the existing TIBCO integration landscape and defining a phased migration strategy to Azure Integration Services while ensuring business continuity and minimal disruption.

Key Responsibilities – Azure Integration Platform Architecture

·        Define the target-state architecture and technical blueprint for an enterprise integration platform on Microsoft Azure.

·        Design and implement solutions using Azure API Management (APIM), Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Service Bus, Event Grid, and Event Hubs.

·        Establish Azure environments, networking, security, identity, connectivity, and operational readiness.

·        Define high availability, disaster recovery, scalability, performance, and governance standards.

·        Develop reusable architecture patterns, templates, and engineering standards.

Infrastructure Provisioning & Automation

·        Automate Azure infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.

·        Establish repeatable provisioning processes for Azure services, networking, private endpoints, gateways, and supporting resources.

·        Implement RBAC, managed identities, Azure Key Vault, and secure authentication mechanisms.

·        Coordinate with network and security teams on firewall rules, DNS, certificates, TLS/mTLS, and connectivity.

·        Establish infrastructure versioning, validation, and configuration management practices.

DevOps & CI/CD Engineering

·        Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.

·        Automate build, testing, deployment, and release processes across environments.

·        Establish source control, branching strategies, versioning, and artifact management standards.

·        Implement automated quality gates, security scanning, code analysis, and deployment approvals.

·        Integrate infrastructure-as-code deployment with application and API release pipelines.

·        Establish rollback, release recovery, and deployment verification processes.

Enterprise Toolchain Integration

·        Integrate Azure platform workflows with enterprise tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, SonarQube, Azure DevOps, and GitHub.

·        Implement automated change management, release approvals, incident management, and delivery tracking.

·        Integrate monitoring and observability solutions for application logs, API performance, distributed tracing, and alerts.

·        Establish end-to-end traceability across requirements, code changes, deployments, and production incidents.

·        Ensure enterprise tool integrations comply with security and audit requirements.

TIBCO Assessment & Modernization

·        Assess existing TIBCO integration components, including BusinessWorks, EMS, Rendezvous, adapters, and APIs.

·        Analyze integration dependencies, complexity, business criticality, and migration readiness.

·        Define migration strategies covering re-platforming, re-engineering, consolidation, and coexistence.

·        Map existing TIBCO integration components to appropriate Azure Integration Services.

·        Plan phased migration and cutover strategies to minimize business disruption.

·        Guide technical teams through migration implementation, testing, validation, and production transition.

Security, Governance & Operational Excellence

·        Define end-to-end security architecture for APIs, messaging, identities, secrets, and external connectivity.

·        Implement OAuth 2.0, Microsoft Entra ID, managed identities, certificates, and mTLS.

·        Establish API security, access controls, network isolation, and data protection standards.

·        Define centralized logging, monitoring, alerting, and operational dashboards.

·        Establish high availability, disaster recovery, incident management, and support processes.

·        Ensure compliance with applicable Life Sciences requirements, including GxP and auditability where required.

Architecture Leadership & Stakeholder Management

·        Lead architecture workshops, technical design reviews, and platform readiness assessments.

·        Collaborate with enterprise architects, infrastructure, security, DevOps, and integration teams.

·        Translate business requirements into technical architecture and implementation roadmaps.

·        Guide development teams on API design, messaging, integration patterns, scalability, and performance.

·        Provide technical estimates, resource plans, and migration recommendations.

·        Participate in client presentations, architecture discussions, and executive reviews.

·        15+ years of overall IT experience with strong enterprise integration architecture experience.

·        Extensive hands-on architecture experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure Integration Services.

·        Strong expertise in Azure API Management (APIM), Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Service Bus, Event Grid, and Event Hubs.

·        Experience building enterprise integration platforms from the ground up.

·        Strong knowledge of Azure subscriptions, networking, private endpoints, identity management, Key Vault, and environment provisioning.

·        Hands-on experience with Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, or equivalent Infrastructure as Code tools.

·        Strong experience designing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.

·        Experience integrating ServiceNow, Jira, SonarQube, source control, and monitoring tools.

·        Strong understanding of REST/SOAP APIs, API-led connectivity, messaging, event-driven architecture, and distributed systems.

·        Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, TLS/mTLS, certificates, managed identities, and enterprise security.

·        Experience with monitoring, logging, distributed tracing, alerting, and production support.

·        Strong understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, scalability, and cloud cost optimization.

·        Experience with TIBCO BusinessWorks 5.x/6.x, BWCE, EMS, Rendezvous, and TIBCO adapters.

·        Proven experience in assessing and migrating legacy TIBCO integrations to Azure Integration Services.

·        Excellent communication, technical leadership, and client-facing stakeholder management skills.

·        Experience in Life Sciences, Pharmaceuticals, Healthcare, or other regulated industries.

·        Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.

·        TIBCO architecture or development certifications.

·        Experience with enterprise platform engineering, cloud governance, Azure Policy, and landing zones.

·        Exposure to DevSecOps, automated security scanning, and infrastructure compliance.

·        Knowledge of Kubernetes, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), containers, and microservices.

·        Experience with New Relic, Azure Monitor, or Application Insights.

·        Experience managing global delivery teams and onsite-offshore delivery models.

·        Exposure to pre-sales, solution estimation, and enterprise modernization programs.
