Job Title: Guidewire PolicyCenter Functional Lead

Job Location: Chicago, IL

Job Type: Contract

Job Overview:

Pay Range: $70hr - $75hr

Requirement/Must Have:

Bachelors degree in Business, Insurance, Information Technology, or related discipline.
10+ years in PC Insurance.
7+ years of Guidewire PolicyCenter experience.
Multiple end-to-end PolicyCenter implementations.
Experience in Agile and SAFe delivery environments.
Experience leading distributed onshore-offshore teams.

Responsibilities:

Lead functional workstreams for Guidewire PolicyCenter implementation and enhancement programs.
Manage a team of Business Analysts and Functional Consultants.
Own end-to-end functional solutioning across PolicyCenter modules.
Establish functional delivery standards, templates, and best practices.
Mentor junior functional analysts and support knowledge transfer activities.
Facilitate stakeholder workshops to gather and refine business requirements.
Perform business process analysis and gap assessments.
Translate requirements into Epics, Features, User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, and Functional Specifications.
Lead solution discussions and recommend appropriate PolicyCenter configurations.
Ensure solutions maximize Guidewire out-of-the-box capabilities before considering customization.
Provide leadership across Policy Administration, Product Model, Underwriting, Rating, Producer Agency Management, and Document Forms.
Participate in PI Planning and Sprint Planning activities.
Support backlog refinement and story elaboration.
Manage cross-team dependencies and functional risks.
Drive sprint demonstrations and business reviews.
Support release planning and deployment readiness.
Review and approve test scenarios and test cases.
Support SIT, UAT, and defect triage activities.
Ensure requirements traceability from design through testing.
Validate delivered functionality against business objectives.
Support production validation activities post-deployment.
Collaborate with integration teams on BillingCenter integrations, ClaimsCenter integrations, Portals, Rating engines, and Third-party data providers.
Support data mapping and conversion activities.
Review interface requirements and business rules.
Ensure end-to-end business process continuity across systems.
Serve as the primary liaison between business and delivery teams.
Provide regular status updates to project leadership.
Facilitate requirements signoff and solution approvals.
Drive issue resolution and decision-making forums.
Build strong relationships with underwriting operations, product compliance, and technology stakeholders.

Nice to Have:

Guidewire PolicyCenter ACE Certification.
Experience with Guidewire Cloud implementations.
Knowledge of BillingCenter and ClaimCenter.
Experience with Commercial Lines and Personal Lines products.
Familiarity with ISO bureau content and regulatory requirements.
Experience with data migration and conversion programs.
