Summary

A fast-growing healthcare technology company is seeking a full-time Lead Software Engineer to join its team in Chicago, IL (hybrid schedule). This organization is leveraging artificial intelligence and voice automation technology to modernize patient communications and improve healthcare outcomes. You'll work closely with stakeholders across engineering, product, and customer-facing teams while helping shape the future of healthcare AI technology. Required Skills & Experience

3+ years of software engineering experience
Strong professional development experience with Python
Experience designing and consuming REST APIs
Hands-on integration experience with third-party systems
Knowledge of OAuth, API authentication, and webhooks
Experience working with JSON, CSV, and data pipelines
Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes environments
Experience with cloud-based applications
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Desired Skills & Experience

Voice AI or conversational AI experience
Twilio, Genesys, Five9, or related telephony platforms
Experience with LLMs and AI-enabled applications
Healthcare technology experience
Familiarity with FHIR, HL7, or HIPAA environments
Java or Kotlin development experience
Client-facing implementation or solutions engineering background
Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, or agent frameworks
Startup experience
