Senior Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Technician

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Technician for a contract position with a Global Life Sciences Company located in Cincinnati, OH. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity.

This role is responsible for ensuring all process equipment is operating safely and at optimal efficiency. The ideal candidate will partner with designated vendors to execute regularly scheduled preventive maintenance, troubleshoot complex industrial machinery, and make repairs based on maintenance and reliability best practices to minimize equipment downtime.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, evaluate, and make recommendations to upgrade maintenance operations and improve equipment reliability
• Respond immediately to emergency situations, equipment failures, and customer concerns
• Install and wire electrical control panels, industrial equipment, automation systems, instruments, and associated electrical components
• Troubleshoot electrical systems, PLCs, HMIs, sensors, motors, VFDs, control circuits, and industrial automation equipment
• Diagnose and repair automation systems, process equipment, industrial machinery, and related electrical and mechanical systems
• Program, modify, and troubleshoot PLCs and programmable controllers, including Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Omron, or similar platforms
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and improve reliability
• Document work details through the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
• Coordinate and work effectively with outside vendors, contractors, and internal business partners

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Proven experience with electrical, controls, automation, and mechanical systems, including PLCs, HMIs, sensors, motors, VFDs, and control circuits
• Ability to read, interpret, and utilize complex electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and equipment drawings
• Knowledge of electrical and automation fundamentals, including AC/DC circuits, 24V and 480V systems, and motor-control circuits
• Familiarity with NFPA 70E electrical safety and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
• Strong electrical, automation, controls, and mechanical troubleshooting abilities
• Ability to define problems, identify root causes, and resolve issues quickly
• Basic computer skills and comfort using software applications, mobile applications, and automation interfaces
• Must be able to work in a lab, manufacturing, and/or warehouse environment and lift up to 40 lbs

Desired skills:

• Five years of progressive experience in an industrial, manufacturing, facilities, or equipment-maintenance environment
• Experience installing, wiring, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial electrical and control systems
• Pharmaceutical or other regulated manufacturing experience
• Working knowledge of pharmaceutical process and manufacturing equipment
• Familiarity with the operation and compliance requirements of a cGMP facility

Pay range: up to $38.00 per hour
