Job Summary:
Seeking an Advanced Project Engineer to lead engineering development activities in a new product development environment. The ideal candidate will have strong project execution, program management, customer engagement, and risk management experience while working closely with cross-functional engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead development teams in a new product development environment
- Ensure project performance and successful execution
- Manage customer relationships and communications
- Develop and manage project schedules and milestones
- Understand technologies used across various programs
- Develop program and project cost estimates
- Support baseline planning and development
- Develop project metrics and provide status reporting
- Conduct variance analysis and corrective actions
- Manage project risks and opportunities
- Coordinate with suppliers and manage supplier relationships
- Support occasional domestic and/or international travel (less than 10%)
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in engineering or related technical discipline
- 5+ years of experience in a related field
- Experience leading development teams in an engineering environment
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in engineering
- Strong Program Management experience
- Demonstrated Earned Value Management (EVM) proficiency
- Experience enhancing customer relationships
- Experience with RCCA activities
- Experience with Lean / Six Sigma methodologies
- Ability to manage risks and opportunities effectively
- Strong planning, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Self-driven individual with the ability to work independently and drive results
