Sr. Systems Engineer - Infra/Ops

Location: On Site Collegeville, PA

Duration: 3+ year contract

Seeking a Systems Engineer-IT to support IT infrastructure, systems administration, networking, virtualization, and automation efforts within a classified environment. This role will support both Windows and Linux environments, maintain critical infrastructure, automate administration tasks, and ensure secure, reliable operations across development and operational systems.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows and Linux server environments


• Support virtualization platforms including OpenStack, VMware, and Hyper-V


• Automate system administration, deployment, and maintenance activities using scripting and automation tools


• Perform system patching, security hardening, and configuration management


• Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, and user access


• Support network infrastructure and troubleshoot connectivity issues


• Design and implement new infrastructure capabilities


• Maintain system uptime, performance, and operational readiness


• Work within Agile/Scrum teams supporting mission-critical programs

Must Have

• Active Top Secret Clearance with ability to obtain and maintain SCI


• Active DoD 8570 Certification (Security+, CISSP, etc.)


• 3+ years of IT Administration experience


• Experience supporting Windows 11 and Windows Server 2022


• Experience supporting Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)


• Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy


• Experience with IT security hardening and compliance


• Experience managing virtualization platforms (VMware, OpenStack, Hyper-V)


• Scripting experience with Bash, PowerShell, Python, or similar
