Description
We are looking for a IT Site Support Technician to provide onsite technical assistance at a training facility in Coppell, Texas. This Contract position focuses on supporting classroom and end-user technology, resolving connectivity concerns, and delivering dependable day-to-day IT support. The ideal candidate is comfortable working directly with users, diagnosing common hardware and network issues, and ensuring training sessions run smoothly without technical disruption.
Responsibilities:
Provide in-person technical support for staff, trainers, and remote users by diagnosing and resolving everyday IT issues.
Set up, test, and maintain audiovisual equipment, including projectors and related presentation connections, to support training activities.
Respond to service requests and assigned tickets in a timely manner, documenting issues and solutions clearly.
Troubleshoot network and connectivity problems affecting onsite and remote users, escalating more complex incidents when needed.
Assist with user account support tasks such as password resets, access issues, and basic Active Directory updates.
Investigate and resolve hardware malfunctions involving workstations, peripherals, and other end-user devices.
Prepare training rooms and technology spaces to ensure equipment is functioning properly before scheduled sessions.
Coordinate with broader IT teams when additional technical expertise is required to restore service quickly.
Requirements
Experience providing onsite desktop or site support in a structured environment.
Working knowledge of Active Directory for basic user account and access support.
Familiarity with Cisco networking concepts and basic network troubleshooting techniques.
Ability to perform password resets, password changes, and other routine user support tasks.
Hands-on experience diagnosing and resolving hardware-related issues for end-user devices.
Comfortable supporting audiovisual technology such as projectors, display connections, and presentation equipment.
Strong customer service and communication skills when assisting both onsite and remote users.
