- Prototype and demonstrate proof-of-concepts in a lab environment.
- Transfer technology from early-stage development to production-ready solutions.
- Develop and implement image processing algorithms for feature extraction, classification, and metrology.
- Utilize novel computer vision and machine learning methods to perform object detection/classification tasks, such as segmentation and detection for production defects.
- Lead the development of measurement solutions that are suitable for use in manufacturing and leverage external suppliers for key technologies or strengths such as system integration.
- Work with a variety of multi-functional groups (Development, Quality, IT, Purchasing, Operations) to deliver effective solutions.
- Design experiments and analyze data to identify and implement improvements to measurement systems or production processes.
- Create and update documentation, including system specifications, operating procedures, research reports, software manuals, trade secrets, and intellectual property.
- Train engineering, maintenance, and operations personnel to use and maintain measurement systems.
- Troubleshoot and optimize measurement systems, both remotely and onsite, using data analysis and performance metrics.
- Provide remote and onsite troubleshooting of production measurement systems.
- Provide supervision of a laboratory and/or process as assigned; build trust across the project team and support an inclusive environment.
- Manage suppliers and external solution development partners as necessary.
- Present work and project updates to internal customers, leadership, and project teams.
