Seeking a mid-level Software Development Engineer, with automation, and connected technology experience. We're looking for a talented
Connected Services Software Engineer to help build and enhance monitoring, testing, and automation solutions that support cutting-edge connected platforms and services. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of software engineering, automation, data analysis, and system monitoring while collaborating with cross-functional teams dedicated to delivering high-quality customer experiences.
What You'll Be Doing- Design, develop, and maintain tools that support system monitoring, validation tracking, and operational reporting.
- Build automated testing frameworks and utilities that improve quality, scalability, and efficiency.
- Monitor platform, service, and system health to proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
- Analyze logs, telemetry, and operational data to troubleshoot technical challenges and drive root cause analysis.
- Partner with Engineering, QA, and Operations teams to improve automation coverage and testing processes.
- Develop dashboards and reporting solutions that provide visibility into system performance and service quality.
- Support validation and readiness activities for critical testing events and product releases.
What We're Looking For- 3+ years of software development experience using Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, or similar technologies.
- Experience building automation tools, test frameworks, or monitoring solutions.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, QA processes, and defect management.
- Ability to analyze logs, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and identify root causes.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple technical teams.
Nice to Have- Experience with cloud platforms, distributed systems, and server infrastructure.
- Knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, and APIs.
- Experience working with REST APIs, databases, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with Linux environments and scripting.
- Experience with observability, monitoring, or telemetry platforms.
- Exposure to connected devices, IoT, telematics, mobility platforms, or similar connected ecosystems.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Costa Mesa, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
