RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Culver City, CA that is seeking an Onsite Studio Facilities Network Engineer. This company helps own the technology strategy, delivery, and sustainment of systems that enable studio and production operations.
Job Summary :
As a Network Engineer, you will work closely and in-person with leadership, business partners, engineers, vendors, information security, and others to deliver a technology ecosystem that meets the demands of a high-growth organization. This role provides technical expertise and support for current and innovative workflows inside the facility, supporting both the core technology and any niche equipment required. This is a very fast-paced and highly demanding onsite technical support environment. This is an onsite, in-person position that requires hands-on expertise.
REQUIREMENTS:
* 15+ years of onsite media & facility experience
* Strong knowledge of media protocols (SRT, RIST, NDI, Dante, AVB) and SMPTE ST 2110 standards for professional media over IP networks
* Skills in establishing and maintaining facility signal path workflows
* Ability to manage theater and infrastructure support
* Working knowledge of display technologies, especially CLED
* Onsite IT experience in media management (VLANs, etc.)
* Strong understanding of Quality of Service (QoS) principles and implementation techniques
* Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
Experience with:
* KVM, SDI routing, and high-performance storage solutions (Qumulo, Isilon, etc.)
* Broadcast video equipment, such as routers, switchers, encoders, and decoders
* Managing facility support, including third-party vendors
Preferred Qualifications:
* Cisco CCNA or CCNP certification
* Experience with network automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
* Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi
* Experience with scripting languages (Python, Perl, etc.)
* Experience with configuration and management of networking equipment from vendors such as Arista, Cisco, and Fortinet
* Familiarity with cellular and mobile networking technologies, such as LTE, 5G, and mobile device management (MDM) solutions
* Experience with in-band and out-of-band network management techniques
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
