Summary

Role: Mainframe Developer

Location: Dallas, TX (Onsite) Job Type: Contract

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer with a strong background in COBOL, DB2, and JCL. The ideal candidate must have previous experience working with Verizon and be comfortable working onsite in Dallas, TX.

Required Skills

8+ years of experience in Mainframe development
Strong hands-on experience with COBOL, DB2, and JCL
Experience with CICS, VSAM, and IBM Mainframe environments
Expertise in Mainframe application development, maintenance, and production support
Strong SQL and DB2 programming skills
Experience in batch processing and job scheduling
Ability to analyze, debug, and resolve production issues
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Mandatory Requirement

Previous Verizon project experience is required.

Responsibilities

Develop, enhance, and maintain Mainframe applications using COBOL, DB2, and JCL
Design, code, test, and implement Mainframe solutions
Support batch processing and production environments
Troubleshoot application and database issues
Work closely with business users and cross-functional teams
Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities
