<>Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced System Administrator specializing in Linux Administration to join our dynamic team in Dallas, Texas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing and maintaining server environments, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. This role requires a proactive approach to system management and a commitment to continuous improvement.

<>Responsibilities:

Administer and maintain Linux based server environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to enhance system efficiency.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls to ensure data security and compliance.
Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery planning to safeguard critical data.
Implement and maintain security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and patch management.
Collaborate with cross functional teams to support application deployments and system integrations.
Document system configurations, processes, and procedures for knowledge sharing and compliance.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to recommend improvements and innovations.

<>Mandatory Skills:

Proven experience in Linux Administration, with a strong understanding of various Linux distributions (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat).
Solid knowledge of server hardware, networking, and virtualization technologies.
Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation and system management.
Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.

<>Preferred Skills:

Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Knowledge of database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus).
Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices.

<>Qualifications:

Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
5 7 years of relevant experience in system administration, with a focus on Linux environments.
Relevant certifications (e.g., RHCE, CompTIA Linux+, LPIC) are a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
