Role: Senior Java Developer
Location: Iselin, NJ & Dallas, TX (Onsite Five Days)

Duration: 6-month contract with potential for extension.
Interview: In person Interview (Need a local candidate within a one-and-a-half-hour commute)
 

Role Summary

·       We are seeking a Java Developer with 8+ years of hands-on experience designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting enterprise applications.

·       The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Angular, JPA/Hibernate, and modern software development practices. The candidate will contribute to the development of a governed, scalable solution for certificate and expiration tracking while supporting the full Software Development Life Cycle.

·       Strong Java development skills are required; however, the primary focus is finding someone who can help design and build a portal-based solution that incorporates governance, automation, inventory management, and operational controls.

Key Focus Areas

• Design and develop a framework for tracking, managing, and reporting on expirations and renewals.
• Build a centralized portal or inventory solution that can scale across multiple use cases.
• Implement governance and controls for certificate and license management.
• Help define the overall technical approach and architecture for automated expiration monitoring.
• Support solution development across both technical implementation and governance requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in Java application development.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Java 8, 11, 17, or higher
• Spring Boot
• RESTful APIs
• Microservices architecture
• Angular
• JPA/Hibernate
• Apache Tomcat
• Experience with SQL and relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or MySQL.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design and programming.
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, design patterns, multithreading, and concurrency.
• Understanding of application security best practices.
• Experience with Git or other source control tools.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC processes, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and DevOps practices.
• Experience with application development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Familiarity with Linux and Windows environments.
• Experience writing automation scripts using Shell, Bash, PowerShell, Python, or similar technologies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building portal-based applications or inventory management solutions.
• Experience developing governance frameworks, compliance controls, or operational oversight solutions.
• Experience with certificate management or similar expiration-tracking environments.
• Understanding of SSL/TLS certificates and secure communications.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools.
• Experience with Ansible for infrastructure automation and application deployment.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of messaging platforms such as Kafka, Solace, RabbitMQ, or JMS.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools.
• Experience with cloud-native application development.
• Performance tuning and load-testing experience.
• Experience with event-driven architecture.
• Certificate and key management experience.
