Epitec is seeking a Back-End Software Development Engineering Senior Engineer to support the development of cloud-native applications, AI-enabled solutions, and enterprise platforms for a leading automotive organization in Dearborn, MI. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on senior engineer with deep experience in Google Cloud Platform, backend development, DevOps, and emerging AI technologies to help build the foundation of a growing engineering team. Long-Term W2 Contract (Approx. 12 Months)

Pay Range: $48-$53/hr
Responsibilities Design, develop, and support cloud-native applications and backend services using Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)
Build scalable APIs, integrations, and enterprise platforms supporting engineering and business operations
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, DevOps processes, and containerized deployments
Implement AI-enabled solutions utilizing technologies such as RAG, MCP, agentic workflows, ADK, and A2A architectures
Integrate applications with enterprise data sources, workflow systems, and AI services
Contribute to solution architecture, platform engineering standards, and technical best practices
Analyze data and develop solutions leveraging BigQuery and cloud-based analytics tools
Collaborate with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and external vendors across multiple initiatives
Support application monitoring, telemetry, evaluation frameworks, and platform optimization efforts
Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
8+ years of software development experience preferred
Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) including Cloud Run and BigQuery
Proficiency with Python, Java, GitHub, and modern backend development practices
Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and cloud-native architectures
Knowledge of solution architecture, enterprise integrations, and scalable API development
Experience with AI technologies such as RAG, MCP, ADK, A2A, prompt management, or agentic workflows preferred
Exposure to Angular and UI/UX concepts is a plus
Automotive or Ford experience preferred
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications Experience with AI technologies including RAG, MCP, ADK, A2A, prompt management, and agentic workflows
Experience developing AI-enabled applications and intelligent workflow automation solutions
Exposure to Angular and UI/UX design principles
Experience with Kubernetes and large-scale cloud platforms
Automotive industry experience
Ford experience
Experience working with enterprise knowledge sources, workflow platforms, and external vendors
