Field Service Engineer

$65,000 to $95,000 per year, plus overtime.
An established company with over 40 years in business is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join its regional service team. The company designs, installs, and services a variety of control systems and electronic drives. This is a field-based role that includes a company vehicle, servicing PLCs, HMIs, motor drives, control systems, and variable frequency drives for customers in the region.
Schedule: Full-time, field service, with overtime available.
Compensation: $65,000 to $85,000 base salary per year, based on experience, plus overtime (which can add approximately $10,000 to $20,000 annually), and a company vehicle.
What You\'ll Do:
The Field Service Engineer troubleshoots and services panel wiring, PLCs, HMIs, motor drives, control systems, variable frequency drives, and related equipment in the field, working with minimal supervision as part of a regional service team. This includes troubleshooting electronics to the component level and reading schematics to diagnose and resolve issues on customer control systems and electronic drives.
Required Qualifications:
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Ability to communicate clearly in English
- Experience with PLCs and motor controls
- Field service experience
- 18-month technical certification or an Associate\'s degree
- Ability to work well with minimal supervision
- Valid driver\'s license with a good driving record
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience troubleshooting electronics to the component level
- Experience with panel wiring, HMI, and variable frequency drives
