A media tech organization in New Jersey is seeking an L3 Senior Production Technology Engineer to work onsite at their office in Bergen County.
About the Opportunity:
Shift: Day shift
Schedule: Monday to Friday during training; Saturday and Sunday plus three additional weekdays after onboarding
Hours: Standard business during training; hours may vary based on permanent weekend coverage
Setting: Onsite
Responsibilities:
Provide technical support for production applications, cloud operations, and related workflows in a live media environment
Design, document, and maintain solution architecture for core platform integrations and workflow improvements
Troubleshoot complex issues across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid systems, including networking, storage, permissions, and performance
Develop and maintain automation, scripts, and configuration workflows to improve reliability and repeatability
Partner with technical stakeholders to evaluate systems, drive incident remediation, and document standards and procedures
Qualifications:
7 to 11 years of experience in broadcast, media technology, or production workflow environments
Bachelor's degree in Broadcast, Media Technology, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
Experience owning architecture-level responsibilities for at least one Tier 1 platform or system domain
Strong working knowledge of cloud and hybrid infrastructure, including identity and access management, networking, storage, observability, and operational resilience
Experience building and maintaining reusable automation and configuration-management solutions
Ability to read and understand code, write or modify simple scripts, and work with structured data formats such as YAML
Experience leading technical projects and communicating complex technical decisions to non-technical audiences
Desired Skills:
Experience in media workflow environments with tools such as Adobe Premiere, Mimir/Saga, Avid iNEWS, Vantage, or AWS workflows
Familiarity with cloud certifications or cloud solution certifications
Exposure to platform tools and technologies such as Linux, Windows Server, Active Directory, LDAP, VMware, containers, Terraform, Ansible, Datadog, Splunk, Git, and CI/CD practices
Knowledge of media production technologies such as SMPTE 2110, AES67, EVS XS Neo, XStore, HLS, CMAF, SCTE-35, Aspera, Signiant, Media Shuttle, or Avid storage platforms
Interest in AI-assisted workflow tools and emerging production technology practices
