Role: Warehouse Designer and Flow Architect Location: Fairfield, OH 45014, USA Duration: 4+ months contract
This position needs to start quickly due to timelines, and this person will be part of a three-to-four-person team designing the layout of the warehouse and efficient placement of lines and parts. Ergonomics and efficiency will be considered.
What will you do?
Responsible for designing and planning the inner layout of the warehouse transformation.
Coordinate setup and optimization of new warehouse design.?
Ensuring optimized functioning of the warehouse and achieving maximum efficiency & space utilization. ?
Develops warehouse design by planning layout, product flow, and product handling systems. ?
Adopts lean concepts to streamline processes to achieve process flow efficiency.
Organize and manage (or control) warehousing operations, including reception, storage, order preparation and shipments according to SPS principle.?
Measures and analyzes warehousing performance (cost and service) and implement corrective actions. ?
Manages projects to design and optimize warehousing processes.?
Setup new product lines that will include 1000 new products and over 5000-part numbers.
What qualifications will make you successful??
Bachelor s Degree required.
Experience in warehouse design/optimization at a senior level.
Able to set up warehouse product lines as the final decision maker.
Proven Past Experience in large settings.
Proficient in computer aided design and drafting software.
Proficient SAP S4 Hana as this is the system of use.
Knowledge of Database systems (SQL, Tableau etc.) a plus.
Preferred knowledge in PIT and Warehouse equipment
Candidates should have specifics of engineering and technical items they engaged in the past.
They should have specifics if they are a engineer and not a maintenance or operations/people manager which is not the role.
Slotting, simulation tools like Flex or Autocad, and WMS type specifics.
