What we look for
\n We are seeking for this role a field services technician to assist and support other team members in commissioning and after sales service. You will successfully work unsupervised and be capable of making informed decisions to complete the tasks as instructed.
\n
\n
How you will do it
\n
\n - \n
Check in with Manager after the end of each workday while in the Field
\n - \n
During, and/or at the end of each day/job, complete all company provided forms to the fullest extent possible.
\n - \n
Responsible for completing daily scheduled tasks.
\n - \n
Check in with client at the beginning and end of each day.
\n - \n
Obtain client signature on company provided forms where applicable.
\n - \n
Use Time Clocks in the plant and ADP app when in the Field to account for daily times.
\n - \n
Hand in paperwork at the end of each trip for processing in sequential order.
\n - \n
Ensure all receipts or invoices for expenses have job numbers and get sent to the correct person.
\n - \n
Ensure all excess materials used for each job are listed properly and documented.
\n - \n
Assist on job sites with other JCI/Silent-Aire Field Technicians as needed.
\n - \n
Answer all office emails/calls in a timely manner.
\n - \n
Check in as needed to ensure Manager or Field Supervisor are aware of your status.
\n - \n
Secure parts and tools needed throughout the day for various jobs as required.
\n - \n
Report all warranty repairs to the Manager or Field Supervisor and provide the necessary info needed to report back to the plant if it is a Silent-Aire internal issue.
\n - \n
Consult Manager or Field Supervisor in times of uncertainty.
\n - \n
Give training to Field Service Technician Level 1 and support as needed.
\n - \n
Follow all company policies and lead by example. Respect and strictly adhere to the non-disclosure policies, on the jobsite and away.

Maintain all safety equipment at all times.
\n

What we look for

Required:
\n
\n - \n
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent GED certificate
\n - \n
Bust be a registered apprentice in Electrical or HVAC
\n - \n
Willing to travel up to 70%
\n - \n
Full understanding of basic electrical and control systems and how electricity works as well as the process of treating air to simultaneously control its temperature, humidity, and distribution
\n - \n
General knowledge of HVAC and mechanical systems
\n - \n
Ability to identify 3-phase versus single phase wiring
\n - \n
Understanding of Parallel and Series circuits
\n - \n
Understand OHMS Law and able to use a multi-meter to read voltage, resistance values
\n - \n
Ability to read, understand and work from mechanical drawings
\n - \n
Ability to maintain required records and prepare reports
\n - \n
Must possess valid passport/driver s license
\n - \n
Aptitude and communications skills related to acting independently
\n - \n
Technical and working knowledge of internal and industry design and construction codes and standards
\n - \n
Proven planning, organizational, problem solving, decision making, supplemented with a practical aptitude
\n - \n
Ability to lift 40lbs and use ladders working from heights
\n - \n
Experience working in Industrial, Manufacturing Facilities and/or Field environments
\n - \n
Basic knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office (Outlook Word, Excel, etc.)
\n
\n
Preferred:
\n

Registered refrigeration/HVAC tech, controls tech, Electrician Journeyman, or related tradesperson
\n - \n
Experience working in highly sensitive and/or mission critical facilities
\n
\n

Additional Details

Must be able to drive to local job site locations

On-call and overtime hours as needed
\n
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Must be able to pass a DOD background check, requiring proof of US Citizenship

Willingness to travel to customer locations (domestic and international)
