Your ResponsibilitiesProduct Engineer - Software Systems for
John Deere Precision Turf located in
Fuquay-Varina, NC, you will:Help contribute to the development of Precision Turf solutions in a fast-paced, collaborative team setting. Your responsibilities will include:
Design and develop software applications, control systems, and test simulations
Integrate tech stack hardware and software into Golf and Commercial Mowing solutions.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for working in a team environment.
- Skilled in writing and reviewing software requirements to ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with system objectives.
- Proven experience in developing embedded applications using C/C++ and MATLAB Simulink.
- Knowledge and experience in applying control theory to real-world applications.
- Experience with continuous integration development and automated build tools
- Experience with software version control such as Git
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple streams of work
What Makes You Stand Out- Experience relating to the design/diagnostics of mechanical/electrical/hydraulic systems.
- Experience with control systems design and analysis on turf applications
- Experience with model-based software development tools
- Knowledge of electronic circuits and components with the ability to read schematics and data sheets
- Experience with embedded systems tools such as emulators, compilers, and simulators
- Experience in automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, and Ethernet
EducationIdeally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Agricultural Engineering, Systems Engineering or equivalent work experience
