Our client is seeking a Network Engineering Architect in Marietta, GA/Hybrid
Role Description
Our Client is seeking a Network Engineering Architect to lead the strategy, design, engineering, and optimization of enterprise network infrastructure supporting corporate offices, retail stores, distribution centers, and cloud environments.
Reporting to the Network Engineering Manager, this individual will provide architecture leadership across routing, switching, wireless, SD-WAN, voice, security, load balancing, and network modernization initiatives.
This is a hands-on architect role with both strategic and implementation responsibilities.
Architecture & Engineering
Design and maintain enterprise network architecture standards.
Architect highly available LAN, WAN, wireless, voice, cloud, and SD-WAN solutions.
Lead network initiatives across stores, distribution centers, and corporate locations.
Develop scalable routing and switching architectures.
Create and maintain technical design documentation.
Operations & Leadership
Troubleshoot complex multi-vendor network environments.
Improve network performance, reliability, scalability, and security.
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend enhancements.
Lead projects from design through deployment.
Mentor engineers and collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, and application teams.
Partner with business stakeholders to align network strategy with organizational goals.
Skills & Requirements
10+ years of enterprise network engineering/architecture experience.
Experience designing and supporting large-scale, multi-site environments.
Background in network transformation and modernization initiatives.
Experience supporting distributed retail, corporate, or enterprise environments.
Certifications
CCNP (Required)
CCIE (Strongly Preferred)
Large retail organizations
E-commerce environments
Nationwide multi-site networks
Corporate HQ and distribution center connectivity
Large-scale Cisco environments
Cisco: Routing & Switching, Nexus, CUCM, ASA, ISE, Umbrella, Meraki
Routing: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, QoS, IPSEC, Multicast
Security: VPNs, ACLs, Segmentation, DHCP Snooping, Source Guard
Infrastructure: SD-WAN, Load Balancing, Enterprise LAN/WAN, Multi-site Architecture
Additional: Palo Alto Networks, F5 Application Delivery Controllers
CCNP (CCIE preferred)
10+ years enterprise network engineering
Cisco Nexus, Routing & Switching
BGP, OSPF, EIGRP expertise
Multi-site enterprise architecture
SD-WAN implementation
CUCM
Network security (ISE, ASA, Umbrella, Palo Alto)
F5 Load Balancing
Retail or e-commerce experience
