GameStop is seeking a
Staff Mobile App Engineer to define and drive the long-term technical strategy for our mobile applications. This role operates across multiple teams, influencing architecture, platform direction, and engineering excellence while enabling scalable, innovative customer experiences.
This role is onsite 5 days a week in Grapevine, TX.
What You'll Do- Define and drive the mobile engineering strategy for GameStop's PowerPacks ecosystem.
- Lead architecture and design decisions across multiple products and engineering teams.
- Build scalable frameworks, standards, and reusable solutions that improve development efficiency and consistency.
- Solve complex technical challenges related to performance, reliability, scalability, and security.
- Partner with Engineering, Product, and Business leaders to align technology investments with business objectives.
- Provide technical mentorship to Lead and Senior Engineers.
- Drive adoption of modern engineering practices, automation, observability, and continuous delivery.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve customer and business outcomes.
What You'll Bring- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of software engineering experience.
- 7+ years building mobile applications using React Native, Swift, and/or Kotlin.
- Deep expertise in scalable mobile architecture and platform engineering.
- Proven experience influencing technical direction across multiple teams.
- Strong understanding of APIs, cloud services, application security, and mobile performance optimization.
- Experience supporting large-scale ecommerce, loyalty, rewards, subscription, membership, or fintech platforms preferred.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and technical leadership skills.
