SOC Analyst

Summary

We are seeking a Tier 1 Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst to join a critical 24/7 security team. In this role, you will provide proactive, on-site security monitoring, triage incoming alerts, and help defend mission-essential systems against cyber threats.

Location: Harrisburg, PA

Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite

Interview Process: In-Person Interview Required

Schedule: 24/7 Shift Rotation (Nights, Weekends, & Holidays as needed)

Key Responsibilities

24/7 Security Monitoring: Monitor, classify, and prioritize real-time security alerts across communication systems.
Incident Triage & Analysis: Analyze technical data, separate true threats from false positives, and log security events accurately.
Escalation & Response: Follow established playbooks to escalate high-priority incidents promptly and support response efforts.
Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with team members to refine playbooks, metrics, and detection strategies.

Key Skills & Qualifications Needed

SOC Experience: 1 3 years of hands-on experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) (Highly Preferred).
Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills to investigate anomalies and filter out false positives.
Technical Communication: Excellent documentation abilities for incident logging and ticket management.
Shift Adaptability: Full willingness to work flexible shifts in a 24/7 environment (including nights and weekends).
