Job Overview

Our client, a hospital facility in Dallas, TX, is seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to maintain and repair a wide range of electrical systems throughout the facility. The selected candidate will work with minimal supervision and may oversee helpers as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and repair electrical systems including motors, HVAC components, alarms, medical and laboratory equipment, and lighting
Service major utility infrastructure such as switchgear, transformers, and emergency power systems
Troubleshoot electrical issues using diagnostic instruments
Install and modify circuits and conduits
Perform preventive maintenance on motors and control equipment
Ensure compliance with VA safety standards, NFPA-99, OSHA, FDA, and the National Electrical Code
Work safely with voltages up to 4160 volts AC

Required Skills

Electrical systems maintenance and troubleshooting
Motor repair and preventive maintenance
HVAC electrical components
Switchgear, transformers, and emergency power systems
Circuit and conduit installation and modification
Diagnostic instrumentation
Knowledge of National Electrical Code and NFPA-99

Preferred Skills

Experience in a hospital or healthcare facility environment
Familiarity with VA compliance standards

Location & Work Model

Fully onsite in Dallas, TX 75216. Candidates must be able to work in both indoor and outdoor environments, including confined spaces and at heights.

Engagement Details

Active Texas State Electrician License required — must provide a copy at time of engagement
OSHA certification required
Heavy lifting and frequent physical exertion required
