What you'll be doing:
Support maintenance, repairs, and vessel overhauls
Monitor and analyze ship performance
Assist with shipyard dry-docking and other marine engineering projects
Support TRANSALT development and fleet special projects
Help prepare work specifications and cost estimates for repairs, overhauls, conversions, and construction
Support regulatory compliance and vessel management
Maintain and improve Integrated Management System processes
What you'll need:
At least 2 years of experience in the U.S. commercial or government maritime industry in a shore-side or shipboard engineering role
U.S. citizenship
Active Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain a government-issued security clearance
Qualifying Port Engineer, shipboard engineering, or combined education and experience that demonstrates the ability to manage complex vessel repair and overhaul projects
Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or related education may qualify as part of the combined experience pathway
A USCG 2nd Assistant Engineer license or higher is preferred.
