This is W2 role Big4 Experience in Highly prefer Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Engineer IV to join their team. This role is at the intersection of AI engineering and Finance transformation, where automation meets governance. The position involves developing AI-driven workflows that handle real money, controls, and compliance obligations. The work is practical, impactful, and directly tied to the operations of one of the world's largest finance organizations. The ideal candidate will take full ownership of automation projects, from initial scoping to go-live, and collaborate closely with Finance teams to ensure the solutions are adopted, trusted, auditable, and operationally effective, especially during critical periods like month-end and quarter-end close.
Responsibilities: - Design, build, test, iterate, and deploy AI-enabled solutions from initial concept to production release.
- Translate complex business needs into technical solutions by understanding Finance requirements and guiding stakeholders on solution design.
- Implement governance measures, including guardrails, fallback behaviors, human-in-the-loop logic, and documentation to meet enterprise control and audit requirements.
- Develop stable data foundations by identifying and integrating relevant datasets into extensible pipelines for reliable automation.
- Collaborate with internal architects, debug issues with stakeholders, and contribute to improving platforms and practices within the Finance Innovation Hub.
- Document technical decisions, assumptions, and dependencies to ensure solutions are auditable, maintainable, and transferable.
- Participate in on-call rotations during month-end and quarter-end close cycles, including after-hours and weekend support as needed, to ensure critical Finance workflows run without disruption.
Qualifications: - Strong software engineering skills in Python, SQL, and API development.
- Hands-on experience with AI/ML models, LLMs, or intelligent automation frameworks.
- Proficiency with modern AI development tools such as agentic frameworks, AI workflow builders, and environments like Claude Code, Cursor, or n8n.
- Working knowledge of data pipelines and integration patterns for reliable data movement between systems.
- Understanding of enterprise controls and audit requirements to build compliant systems.
- At least one year of consulting or Big 4 experience.
- Ability to work directly with Finance stakeholders, translating their needs into technical architectures.
- Proven track record of developing structured, repeatable technical solutions for business challenges.
- Strong communication skills to explain technical tradeoffs, design choices, and risks in plain language.
- Experience operating in time-sensitive environments where production uptime impacts Finance reporting deadlines.
- Reliability mindset with a focus on supportability and ownership of systems.
Preferred (Not Required): - Experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Technical Consultant, or similar embedded-builder role.
- Domain experience in Finance, Audit, or regulated industries.
- Familiarity with Meta's technology stack.
