Venturi, LLC, a Chenega Company, has a challenging opportunity for a
Next Generation Database Administrator who will maintain the Model Assessment Limitations Tracker (MALT) and associated supporting documentation. This individual will work on the TEAMS Next Missile Defense Systems Engineering contract supporting the Missile Defense Agency.
Responsibilities - Update MALT with status on open limitations/watch items at the end of each fiscal quarter
- Update MALT to annotate limitations/watch items assessed during ground test events and when limitations/watch items are added, closed, or archived
- Maintain and update all MALT supporting documentation to meet reporting requirements
- Work with M&S Requirements team and MDS elements to develop and document simulation conceptual models (SCMs)
- Assist in the development of M&S System Requirements Documents (SRDs)
- Participate in technical interchange meetings, generate reports and briefs
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications - Master's degree and 12+ years of experience OR
- Bachelor's degree and 20+ years of experience
- Attention to detail; understand ground test scheduling and Accreditation Assessment Report and memo process
- Expert with Microsoft Office -- Word, Excel, PowerPoint -- and Adobe Acrobat
- Active Secret clearance
- Successfully pass background and drug screening
Preferred Qualifications: - Exceptional time management skills
- Ability to balance workload
- Background in technical writing/reporting
- Familiarity with DOORS Next Generation (DNG) Data Base and publishing tools
- Familiarity with requirements development processes
- Familiarity with simulation conceptual model processes and tools
- Familiarity with Missile Defense System (MDS)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - Ability to work well with engineering staff and understand modeling and simulation terminology
- Systems Engineering and/or Weapon Systems modeling background to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) efforts to develop system level modeling and simulation (M&S) requirements for its distributed M&S federation
- Apply simulation conceptual modeling (SCM) processes which essentially translates the physical representation of a real system into suitable abstractions that result in requirements that drive the development of the distributed M&S federation
- Demonstrated the ability in systems thinking and familiarity with defense systems
