Summary:
Join the Company’s Database Services Team as a MySQL/DevOps/Cloud Sr. Database Administrator Consultant. You will work alongside top-notch DBAs and Architects in a technologically diverse environment across enterprise data centers and cloud-based platforms. This role emphasizes best practices, standards, collaboration, and knowledge sharing, enabling team members to excel and achieve their career goals.

Responsibilities:

Support the database management system and all related software.
Design and build database environments, assisting in developing estimates and schedules for new projects or extensions to existing systems.
Provide technical support and perform database administration for all development and production databases across multiple environments.
Be on call to support critical database issues that may arise during evenings or weekends.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
5-7 years of DBA working experience, with a focus on MySQL production replication and database support skills.
Experience with database environment lifecycle management and support of production and development environments.
2 years of experience with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD tools such as Terraform/Terragrunt and GitHub Actions.
Strong experience in MySQL replication setup and support. Experience with Oracle, Postgres, MongoDB/CosmosDB, MSSQL is a plus.
Experience in query optimization and performance improvement.
Knowledge of cloud and managed services such as MS Flex Server or AWS RDS, with Azure Cloud experience being a plus.
Experience with running cloud infrastructure.
Extensive MySQL technical experience in high availability solutions using replication, disaster recovery solutions, backup and recovery experience with Percona Tools, performance tuning, production operations & support, and security administration.
Experience performing MySQL patches and major version upgrades.

Skills:

Modern observability/alerting platform experience: Grafana, ELK, DataDog, Splunk, etc.
Process improvement and automation skills.
Sharp analytical skills and problem-solving techniques.
Excellent verbal and communication skills.
Mastery of enterprise technologies, multizone, multi-region replication strategies.
Automation skills in Bash, Ansible, Python are a plus.
Capable of handling multiple assignments and additional responsibilities.

Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $59.00 - $60.00 /hour. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages. Packages may include medical, dental, and vision benefits, health savings accounts with qualified medical plan enrollment, 10 paid days off, 3 days paid bereavement leave, 401(k) plan participation with employer match, life and disability insurance, commuter benefits, dependent care flexible spending account, accident insurance, critical illness insurance, hospital indemnity insurance, accommodations and reimbursement for work travel, and discretionary performance or recognition bonus. Sick leave and mobile phone reimbursement provided based on state or local law.
