Summary

We are seeking an experienced Javascript/Typescript API Integration Developer to design, develop, and maintain integrations between our platform and third-party APIs using JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js. The ideal candidate has strong experience building reliable REST API integrations, writing clean, maintainable code, and delivering high-quality integration solutions.

Experience with workflow automation platforms such as n8n, Zapier, or Make is a plus, particularly for building reusable automation workflows and custom connectors.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable API integrations using JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js.
Build robust integrations with REST APIs, including authentication, pagination, rate limiting, retries, and error handling.
Develop clean, modular, and maintainable code following modern software engineering best practices.
Create reusable libraries and integration components that can be leveraged across multiple projects.
Write unit and integration tests using tools such as Playwright or Jest.
Optimize API interactions through JSON transformation, schema validation, batching, caching, and retry strategies.
Troubleshoot integration issues and improve performance, reliability, and scalability.
Collaborate with product managers, QA engineers, and other developers throughout the software development lifecycle.
Produce clear technical documentation for APIs, integration workflows, and implementation details.
Follow best practices for secure credential management, dependency management, and application security.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.

Nice to Have

Build and maintain automation workflows using n8n, Make, Zapier, or similar workflow automation platforms.
Develop custom n8n nodes or connectors.
Implement webhook-based integrations and event-driven workflows.
Experience contributing to open-source integration projects.

Qualifications

Required

Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
3+ years of JavaScript and TypeScript development.
2+ years of Node.js development.
Strong experience integrating RESTful APIs.
Solid understanding of asynchronous programming and modern JavaScript patterns.
Experience with Git and modern package management tools (npm or pnpm).
Experience writing automated tests using Jest, Playwright, or similar frameworks.
Strong understanding of JSON, API payloads, and schema validation.
Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with workflow automation platforms such as n8n, Make, Zapier, or Power Automate.
Experience building custom connectors or plugins for automation platforms.
Familiarity with webhook-based integrations.
Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
Contributions to open-source projects or public GitHub repositories.
Familiarity with OAuth2, OpenAPI specifications, and API documentation tools.
