IT Asset Management Analyst (Junior)
Dallas, TX | Hybrid (3 days onsite)
Our client is looking for an early-career IT professional who is interested in building a long-term career in Software Asset Management (SAM). This is an excellent opportunity for someone coming from a Help Desk, IT Support, Service Desk, Desktop Support, or similar technical background who enjoys organization, problem solving, and working with data.
You'll work alongside experienced team members while learning enterprise Software Asset Management, software licensing, ServiceNow SAM, and IT asset lifecycle processes. The team is looking for someone who is curious, detail-oriented, and excited to grow into a specialized area of IT.
Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day Software Asset Management (SAM) activities.
- Maintain accurate software inventory records and asset data within ServiceNow SAM.
- Assist with software requests, licensing, and compliance tracking.
- Analyze and validate data using Microsoft Excel.
- Help document processes and improve asset management procedures.
- Partner with internal teams to support software procurement and asset requests.
- Assist with reporting, audits, and inventory reconciliation.
- Learn enterprise software licensing concepts and best practices through hands-on mentoring.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in IT Support, Help Desk, Service Desk, Desktop Support, IT Operations, or a related technical role.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and customer service abilities.
- Interest in learning Software Asset Management and software licensing.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative team environment.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to ServiceNow.
- Familiarity with Software Asset Management (SAM) or software licensing.
- Experience with reporting or data analysis.
- ITIL or other relevant certifications.
