We are seeking an experienced Azure Administrator with 3-5 years of hands-on experience managing Microsoft Azure cloud environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the administration, governance, security, networking, and operational support of Azure infrastructure and platform services. This role requires strong expertise in Azure networking, API Management, identity and access management, cloud security, and troubleshooting enterprise cloud environments.
The Azure Administrator will work closely with Infrastructure, Security, Networking, Architecture, and Application teams to ensure the stability, security, and scalability of cloud services.
Key Responsibilities
Azure Infrastructure Administration
- Administer and support Azure subscriptions, management groups, resource groups, and Azure resources.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Azure Virtual Machines, Storage Accounts, Backup, and Disaster Recovery solutions.
- Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, availability, and capacity.
Azure Networking
- Design, implement, and support:
- Virtual Networks (VNets)
- Subnets
- Network Security Groups (NSGs)
- User Defined Routes (UDRs)
- Azure Firewall
- VPN Gateway
- ExpressRoute
- Private Endpoints
- Private Link
- Private DNS Zones
- Troubleshoot network connectivity, routing, DNS resolution, firewall, and security-related issues.
API Management & Application Connectivity
- Deploy, configure, and manage Azure API Management (APIM).
- Support API onboarding, policy implementation, backend integrations, and security configurations.
- Troubleshoot API connectivity, SSL/TLS, certificates, authentication, and backend communication issues.
- Support integrations involving Application Gateway, WAF, Load Balancers, and private networking.
Identity & Access Management (IAM)
- Administer Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
- Manage:
- Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
- Privileged Identity Management (PIM)
- Managed Identities
- Service Principals
- App Registrations
- Conditional Access Policies
- Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
- Implement least-privilege access models and identity governance controls.
Security & Governance
- Implement and maintain Azure security best practices.
- Configure and manage:
- Microsoft Defender for Cloud
- Azure Policy
- Resource Locks
- Tagging Standards
- Compliance and Governance Controls
- Support security assessments, audits, and remediation efforts.
Monitoring & Operations
- Monitor environments using:
- Azure Monitor
- Log Analytics
- Application Insights
- Alerts and Workbooks
- Investigate and resolve production incidents and service disruptions.
- Develop and maintain operational runbooks and technical documentation.
Automation
- Automate cloud operations using:
- PowerShell
- Azure CLI
- ARM Templates
- Bicep
- Terraform (preferred)
- Support CI/CD integration with Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience managing Microsoft Azure environments.
- Strong experience with Azure infrastructure administration and operations.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts and enterprise security.
- Experience supporting production Azure environments.
- Experience with identity and access management using Microsoft Entra ID.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
