Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on SDE II – Systems, AI & Developer Engineering professional to support the development of next-generation systems and AI-powered engineering solutions.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in software and systems engineering, with the ability to work across systems software, AI/LLMs, automation, developer tools, virtualization, and cloud infrastructure. This position offers an opportunity to work on complex engineering challenges and contribute to AI-powered software engineering, agentic systems, automated testing, program analysis, and scalable developer platforms.
The successful candidate should be comfortable working across technology domains, learning new technologies, troubleshooting complex systems, and translating innovative concepts into practical, reusable engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain software across systems, AI, and developer platforms.
- Develop applications and system-level software using C/C++, Python, PowerShell, and potentially Rust or C#.
- Work with operating systems, system components, virtualization technologies, and systems infrastructure.
- Develop automation solutions for software engineering, testing, debugging, and developer workflows.
- Design and integrate LLM- and Agentic AI-based solutions for software engineering and program analysis.
- Explore AI-assisted code generation, test generation, debugging, program analysis, and developer productivity solutions.
- Develop tools and services that integrate AI with source code, engineering data, test results, logs, and system telemetry.
- Work with Azure, virtual machines, cloud infrastructure, and distributed systems.
- Collaborate with engineering and research teams to prototype new concepts and convert successful solutions into reusable platforms.
- Troubleshoot complex software, systems, and infrastructure issues.
- Analyze technical problems and develop effective, scalable solutions.
- Participate in technical design, architecture, documentation, and engineering best practices.
- Communicate technical concepts, issues, and solutions effectively to engineering stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of professional experience in software engineering or systems engineering.
- Strong programming experience with C/C++, Python, or comparable programming languages.
- Experience working with systems software, Windows, Linux, cloud infrastructure, developer tools, or related technologies.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience with software development, automation, testing, source control, and build environments.
- Ability to work independently in a technically complex and research-oriented environment.
- Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Windows Internals, Windows Kernel, device drivers, virtualization, or low-level systems programming.
- Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, Agentic AI, RAG, or AI developer tools.
- Experience with automated software engineering, program analysis, code generation, test generation, or intelligent developer platforms.
- Experience with Azure, cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, or DevOps.
- Experience with WinDbg, ETW, TAEF, Hyper-V, or similar systems technologies.
- Experience with Rust, C#, or Java in addition to C/C++.
- Experience working in a research, innovation, or advanced engineering environment.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development and developer productivity technologies.
