Title: Field Technician I
Location: Memphis, TN
Duration: Long Term (Contract to hire)
Compensation: $33 hourly

Please read, and then re-read before applying: - The role will require extensive driving within a three-hour radius of Memphis, TN. You will be required to be on call "every other week". On call means that you may receive calls late at night requiring either virtual or possible onsite support.
- While driving, my client will pay for your driving time to the job. Please note, the first 30 minutes of your day, while driving, my client will not pay for. This is considered commuting time to the job, like with any other job. The last 30 minutes of the day, when driving, my client will not pay for, as they view this as driving home from your day at work.
- You will be using your own vehicle. If hired full-time by my client, then they would give you a company vehicle.
Job Description:
As a Field Technician I, you will leverage your experience installing and maintaining various telecommunications systems to deliver best-in-class service for our clients. You are passionate about building trust, developing your technical skills, and growing within the expanding Internet of Things (IoT) market. You enjoy traveling locally while providing outstanding customer service.
This is a home-based, dispatched role. You will be supporting job assignments in a specified geographic area. This is a contract opportunity with the intent of converting to a permanent employee in a relatively short period of time.
Key Responsibilities:
Install and maintain voice, data, security, and VoIP communication systems and equipment.
Complete assigned work orders with a strong commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
Travel to and from customer locations within a designated geographic area to perform installations and repairs.
Use a laptop and various software applications to manage work orders and documentation.
Qualifications:
1–5 years of experience in telecommunications or a related electrical field.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently with a high level of technical aptitude.
Experience working with Cisco systems or similar equipment manufacturers.
Working Conditions:
Home-based dispatch.
Weekend and on-call work may be required as needed.
