We are seeking an experienced Test Lead / Java SDET with strong expertise in Java programming, API testing, UI automation, and test automation frameworks. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing automation solutions using Core Java, implementing BDD frameworks, and leveraging Generative AI tools to improve software testing efficiency.
The role requires strong technical, analytical, and communication skills, along with experience working in Agile environments and integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Core Java and Java 8 or later.
Build and execute automated test solutions for APIs and user interfaces.
Develop and maintain automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Rest-Assured, and HTTPClient.
Implement Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) frameworks using Gherkin and Cucumber.
Perform API testing, functional testing, regression testing, and integration testing.
Write and execute SQL queries to validate data across various databases.
Utilize Generative AI tools such as GitHub Copilot and Anthropic Claude to improve test automation, test coverage, and testing productivity.
Identify opportunities to optimize the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) through automation and AI-enabled testing approaches.
Integrate automated test suites into Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
Collaborate with developers, product owners, QA teams, and global stakeholders to ensure software quality.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
Analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, identify defects, and coordinate their resolution.
Communicate testing progress, risks, issues, and quality metrics effectively to stakeholders.
Continuously evaluate automation practices and identify opportunities for improvement.
7–10 years of hands-on experience in Quality Assurance (QA) and software testing.
Strong programming skills in Java 8 or later, including Core Java.
Practical experience in test automation and automation framework development.
Hands-on experience with at least one UI automation tool, such as Selenium or Playwright.
Strong API automation testing experience using Rest-Assured, HTTPClient, or similar tools.
Experience developing and maintaining BDD automation frameworks using Gherkin and Cucumber.
Strong SQL skills and experience working with various databases.
Hands-on experience with Generative AI tools, such as GitHub Copilot or Anthropic Claude.
Understanding of how AI-enabled testing can optimize the STLC and improve automation efficiency.
Experience working with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to learn new tools and technologies.
Java SDET – API & UI Automation: Strong Core Java programming skills with hands-on experience in API and UI test automation.
Generative AI Tools: Practical experience using at least one AI tool, such as GitHub Copilot or Anthropic Claude, to support software testing and automation.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with global teams.
