Data Platform Infrastructure Engineer
W2 Contract
Pay Rate: $55 - $65 per hour
Location: Cupertino, CA - Remote Role
Job Summary:
We seek a Data Platform Infrastructure Engineer skilled in AWS/Google Cloud Platform/AliCloud and Kubernetes to build and maintain the infrastructure powering our data platform. You'll ensure reliability, scalability, and performance of large-scale systems, developing tools and dashboards for monitoring and management. Experience with infrastructure-as-code and deploying complex services to Kubernetes is essential. You'll collaborate with engineering teams within our organization and stakeholders to build, test, and maintain robust data platforms.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- 8+ YOE, with 5+ years of experience working with large-scale infrastructure systems and cloud environments
- Hands-on experience in AWS/Google Cloud Platform/AliCloud and knowledge of its ecosystem
- Experience in scaling and operating Kubernetes
- Excellent communication skills are a must; experience working with customers directly to explain how they would use the infrastructure to build solutions that meet their business goals.
- Proven ability to work in an agile environment, flexible to adapt to changes
- Programming experience in Golang, Python, and bash scripting
- Fast learner with experience in IaC fundamentals and monitoring solutions
- Experience with AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or AliCloud (Must require 1, in addition to AWS)
- Experience managing Kubernetes clusters (RBAC / Security, etc)
- Experience developing, deploying, and managing services on Kubernetes clusters via Helm charts, Kustomize, etc
- Advanced Experience with Infrastructure as Code tooling (Terraform, Pulumi, Crossplane)
- Experience with automation for infrastructure management
- Experience with Kubernetes advanced features (Operators, OPA Policies, Webhooks, etc)
- Experience with Kubernetes networking ecosystem (Cillium, ALB, NLB, Envoy, Nginx ingress, Certificate managers, etc)
- Programming experience in Golang, experience building RESTful web services
- Advanced experience with using AI for coding
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience developing Temporal workflows
- UI development experience
