Program Manager (Strategic Programs)

Job Description:

Overview

This role is responsible for building and leading complex, cross-functional programs from the ground up, driving strategic initiatives across Intuit''s Global Business Solutions Group (GBSG). The ideal candidate is a highly strategic program leader with a strong business mindset who excels at creating structure from ambiguity, influencing senior leaders, and delivering measurable business outcomes. Candidates with prior management consulting experience (e.g., PwC, Accenture, or other top-tier consulting firms) are highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Program Design & Strategy

• Architect multi-organization programs from inception through execution.
• Design, structure, and launch new initiatives aligned with GBSG strategic objectives.
• Ensure every workstream is clearly owned, sequenced, and connected to overall business goals.

Team Leadership & Operational Excellence

• Build the right teams to execute strategic initiatives.
• Establish operational discipline across programs.
• Define clear roles, accountability, and workflows that keep teams aligned and executing efficiently.

Program Execution

• Drive flawless execution using metrics, operating principles, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Ensure initiatives remain on track and deliver measurable business outcomes for global customers.

Strategic Storytelling & Executive Influence

• Connect GBSG business unit, portfolio, and program strategies into a cohesive narrative.
• Use data and influence to drive organizational alignment and executive buy-in.
• Present strategic recommendations that support business priorities.

Executive Partnership

• Partner regularly with senior leadership.
• Align on priorities, provide progress updates, and deliver strategic recommendations.
• Build trust and secure executive sponsorship for key initiatives.

Prioritization & Decision Making

• Identify and prioritize the highest-impact initiatives.
• Manage trade-offs across competing priorities.
• Escalate key decisions with clear recommendations supported by data and rationale.

Communication

• Deliver concise, impactful communications to audiences at all levels, including:
  • Front-line managers
  • Cross-functional teams
  • Senior executives
• Ensure stakeholders understand strategy, execution status, risks, and next steps.

Risk Management & Adaptability

• Anticipate program risks and potential roadblocks.
• Navigate competing priorities and stakeholder interests.

Skills / Qualifications

Program & Strategy

• 8+ years of experience leading complex, cross-functional SaaS programs.
• Proven ability to build and scale new initiatives from the ground up.
• Experience creating clarity in ambiguous environments.
• Strong program design and execution capabilities.
