Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to design, develop, integrate, and scale solutions within an enterprise Customer Success Management (CSM) ecosystem.
The role focuses on building integrations, data pipelines, APIs, platform extensions, and data-driven solutions across Gainsight NXT and the broader enterprise technology landscape.
The ideal candidate will combine strong software engineering and data engineering skills with experience working with enterprise platforms, CRM systems, middleware/iPaaS technologies, cloud platforms, and distributed data systems.
The candidate will also contribute to the adoption of AI/ML-driven solutions within Customer Success workflows.

Key Responsibilities
Gainsight NXT / Customer Success Platform
- Design, develop, and maintain solutions within the Gainsight NXT Customer Success platform.
- Configure and extend Gainsight NXT to support business and Customer Success requirements.
- Develop integrations between Gainsight and enterprise CRM, data, and business applications.
- Work with customer and account data models to support scalable Customer Success processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve platform functionality, automation, and data accessibility.
- Collaborate with Customer Success, business, architecture, and engineering teams.
Integration Development
- Design and develop integrations between Gainsight and enterprise applications.
- Build integrations with CRM platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics and Salesforce.
- Develop and maintain integrations using SnapLogic or equivalent iPaaS/middleware platforms.
- Design REST API integrations and event-driven data flows.
- Support microservices-based integration architectures.
- Troubleshoot integration failures, data synchronization issues, and API-related problems.
- Ensure integrations are secure, reliable, scalable, and maintainable.
Data Engineering & Pipelines
- Design and develop scalable data pipelines supporting Customer Success use cases.
- Work with Databricks and Spark for distributed data processing.
- Develop backend/data engineering solutions using:
- Build data transformations and integrations across enterprise systems.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability across the Customer Success ecosystem.
- Optimize data pipelines for performance and scalability.
Microsoft Azure
- Develop and deploy solutions within Microsoft Azure environments.
- Work with Azure-based data and application services.
- Support cloud-native application and integration architectures.
- Troubleshoot cloud-based application and data integration issues.
- Apply enterprise cloud engineering and security best practices.
Software Development
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise software solutions.
- Write clean, scalable, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Participate in architecture and technical design discussions.
- Perform code reviews and contribute to engineering standards.
- Troubleshoot application issues and perform root-cause analysis.
- Optimize application and integration performance.
Frontend & Data Visualization
- Develop user interfaces and data-driven applications where required.
- Work with frontend technologies such as:
- JavaScript
- React
- Angular
- Equivalent UI frameworks
- Build data-driven dashboards and user experiences.
- Integrate frontend applications with APIs and backend services.
AI / ML Enablement
- Contribute to the adoption of AI/ML solutions within Customer Success workflows.
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI for:
- Customer insights
- Predictive analytics
- Workflow automation
- Customer health scoring
- Operational efficiency
- Collaborate with data and AI teams to integrate intelligent capabilities into enterprise platforms.
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies and their applicability to Customer Success use cases.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of professional software development experience in enterprise or SaaS environments.
- Strong backend/data engineering skills using one or more of:
- Strong experience with enterprise application development and integrations.
- Experience working with CRM platforms and enterprise data ecosystems.
- Experience with REST APIs.
- Understanding of microservices and event-driven architectures.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Strong performance optimization skills.
Primary Platform Experience
Gainsight NXT — Highly Desirable
- Hands-on experience configuring Gainsight NXT is highly desirable.
- Experience working with Gainsight data models, integrations, and platform capabilities is preferred.
Alternative CRM Experience
Candidates without Gainsight experience may be considered if they have strong hands-on configuration/integration experience with:
