Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Azure Administrator with ServiceNow and ITIL expertise to manage and support Microsoft Azure infrastructure while ensuring effective IT service management through ServiceNow. The candidate will be responsible for Azure administration, incident and change management, troubleshooting, monitoring, automation, and adherence to ITIL best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Administer and support Microsoft Azure infrastructure, including Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, VNets, NSGs, Azure Monitor, Azure Backup, and Azure Key Vault.
Monitor Azure resources, availability, performance, capacity, and security.
Perform Azure VM provisioning, configuration, patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
Manage Azure identities, users, groups, roles, and access using Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and RBAC.
Configure and troubleshoot networking components such as VNets, subnets, NSGs, VPNs, Load Balancers, and Private Endpoints.
Manage Azure backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity activities.
Monitor and resolve infrastructure alerts and operational issues within defined SLAs.
Create, update, and manage incidents, service requests, problems, and changes in ServiceNow.
Follow ITIL processes for Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge, and Configuration Management.
Perform root-cause analysis for recurring or high-priority infrastructure incidents.
Participate in Change Advisory Board (CAB) activities and ensure proper change documentation, risk assessment, approvals, and implementation.
Maintain accurate CMDB records and ensure Azure configuration items and relationships are properly represented in ServiceNow.
Automate routine Azure administration and operational tasks using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Automation Runbooks.
Work with application, security, network, database, and DevOps teams to resolve complex technical issues.
Maintain technical documentation, knowledge articles, operational procedures, and support runbooks.
Identify opportunities for infrastructure optimization, automation, cost reduction, and continuous service improvement.
Provide L2/L3 production support and participate in on-call or after-hours support as required.

Required Skills

Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure administration.
Experience with Azure VMs, Storage Accounts, VNets, NSGs, Azure Monitor, Azure Backup, Key Vault, Load Balancer, and Azure Automation.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, MFA, and identity/access management.
Experience with Azure networking, security, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Hands-on experience with ServiceNow ITSM.
Strong understanding of Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge, and CMDB processes.
Strong understanding of ITIL principles and IT service management practices.
Experience working with ServiceNow tickets, SLAs, workflows, approvals, CMDB, and reporting.
Knowledge of PowerShell and/or Azure CLI for administration and automation.
Experience with monitoring and log analysis using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104).
ITIL Foundation / ITIL 4 certification.
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
Experience with ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, ITOM, or ITAM.
Experience integrating ServiceNow with Azure or other enterprise infrastructure tools.
Knowledge of Terraform, ARM/Bicep, DevOps, or CI/CD is a plus.

Experience

5+ years of overall IT infrastructure experience.
3+ years of hands-on Azure administration experience.
2+ years of ServiceNow ITSM experience.
Practical experience working in an ITIL-based enterprise support environment.
