We're looking for a Tier II/Tier III Support professional who wants to expand their systems administration experience. If you have a strong background in Active Directory, Windows Server, Microsoft 365, virtualization, and advanced troubleshooting, we'd love to discuss an opportunity to grow your infrastructure career.

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Tier II/Tier III Support Analyst & Junior Systems Administrator to join a great company's IT team. This role is ideal for a technical professional who has moved beyond basic help desk responsibilities and is looking to expand their experience with servers, virtualization, enterprise systems, and infrastructure support.

The successful candidate will provide advanced technical support, assist with systems administration duties, and work closely with senior IT staff to maintain a stable, secure, and efficient technology environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide Tier II and Tier III support for end users, business applications, and infrastructure systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve escalated hardware, software, operating system, and network issues.
Administer and maintain Windows Server environments.
Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, user accounts, permissions, and security groups.
Support Microsoft 365, Exchange, Teams, and related collaboration tools.
Assist with server maintenance, upgrades, and patch management.
Support virtualization platforms including VMware and Hyper-V.
Monitor system performance, availability, and health.
Manage DNS, DHCP, file shares, print services, and network connectivity issues.
Assist with backup and disaster recovery processes.
Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Participate in infrastructure projects and technology improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

2+ years of experience in a Tier II/Tier III Support, Desktop Support, or Systems Administration role.
Experience supporting Windows 10/11 and Windows Server environments.
Strong knowledge of:
- Active Directory
- Group Policy
- DNS
- DHCP
- TCP/IP Networking
- Microsoft 365
Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
Experience administering user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
Familiarity with VMware, Hyper-V, or other virtualization technologies.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple support requests.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with PowerShell scripting.
Experience supporting Microsoft Exchange environments.
Experience with endpoint management solutions.
Familiarity with backup solutions such as Veeam.
Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
Relevant certifications such as:
- CompTIA A+
- CompTIA Network+
- CompTIA Security+
- Microsoft Fundamentals or Associate Certifications
