This is a hybrid role at Washington, DC (2 times a week)
Local candidates from Washington DC only
This position requires atleast an Interim Secret Clearance

Overview

Our Client is seeking a Software Engineer who can design and implement core components of the Java REST API wrapper, ensuring high performance, security, and reliability of the authorization service.

Responsibilities

Develop Java REST API wrapper for OpenFGA.
Implement authorization logic, caching strategies, and error handling.
Design and build client SDKs/libraries for application integration.
Write comprehensive unit and integration tests.
Optimize API performance and latency.
Create technical documentation and integration guides.
Participate in production support.
Mentor junior engineers on codebase and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

Extensive hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
Solid background designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
Experience with authorization systems, especially OpenFGA.
Proficiency with core AWS services.
