Job#: 3051279 Job Description: Systems Integration Test Engineer
Length: 3 month contract, potential to extend
Location: Irvine, CA (On-site)
Role Overview
This position will assist in the development, testing, release, and integration of software and hardware. The main function is to develop, implement, and document all testing activities, including test planning, documentation, execution, defect tracking, and issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures.
- Perform integration testing of system functionality.
- Maintain and integrate test rack configurations for system installations.
- Participate in software release testing and regression testing.
- Document software defects using a bug tracking system and report them to software developers.
- Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, online screen, or content.
- Assist in developing test plans and procedures to validate system requirements.
- Troubleshoot and analyze the root cause of system anomalies in hardware and/or software.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Sciences, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Experience: 0-3 years of experience in software/system engineering development or software/hardware testing. Experience writing test documentation such as test plans, scripts, and test results reports is required.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with Unix and Linux OS is required. A basic understanding of systems administrator capabilities and command language for Linux is preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- In-flight Entertainment or Avionics industry experience is preferred.
Work Environment
- This role requires the ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- A significant portion of time will be spent at a test rack, which involves standing, lifting, bending, twisting, and stooping.
