Embedded Software Engineer
Irving, TX-100% Onsite
Relocation Open
Requisition Update
- Key hiring manager feedback: Candidates were generally not selected due to limited C++, limited or generalized autonomy/robotics experience, and insufficient hands-on positioning/localization development experience. Integration-only or broader software/embedded backgrounds were not considered sufficient.
- Interviewed candidates: Strong profiles demonstrated direct localization/positioning experience for autonomous vehicles or robotic systems, along with solid C++ development experience. Academic positioning experience was also considered when specifically focused on the area.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a Senior-level C++ Embedded/Robotics Software Engineer with strong hands-on experience in autonomous systems, localization, state estimation, inertial navigation, and filtering algorithms. Candidates with experience in Kalman/EKF filtering, SLAM, ROS, GNSS/IMU integration, robotics, and vehicle dynamics will be especially strong.
Interview Process: 3 rounds – Manager/Technical Lead screening + 2 technical interviews
