OurIrving, TXlocation is hiring aTest Technician. This individual will work under general supervision; this positionis responsible forthe production of high-quality medical device instruments. This position includes detailed assembly and testing of various electronic components and finished devices in a controlled manufacturing environment.
What You?ll Work On
Performs testing of electronic components and assemblies using automated test equipment.
May perform mechanical assembly of electromechanical subassemblies and devices.
Ability to read,comprehendand follow written procedures; understand and follow verbal instructions. May instruct others in the use of all manuals, testproceduresand documentation associated with specialized equipment.
Reads and interprets engineering drawings,schematicsand complex test procedures.
Participates in continuous improvement/quality initiativesin order toenhance production processes to achieve quality and profitability metrics.
Maintainsaccuraterecords to ensure Device History Records and quality documents areaccurate, all parts aretraceableand quality issues can be addressed toassurethe quality of all products.
Prioritizes work bydeterminingthe sequencing and timing of different jobs based on precedence and importance.
Positivelyrepresentsthe company during tours bydemonstratingtechniques and sharingappropriate information.
Supports all Company initiatives asidentifiedby management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.
Complies withU.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, ISO or other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.
Adheres to all environmental, health and safety SOP?s, equipment,policiesand procedures, including any department specific requirements.
Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma/GEDrequired
Experience in troubleshooting equipment, building and or testing of electronic assemblies
Working knowledge of IPC standards and use of complex tools and equipment specific to functional areas
Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment
Strong verbal and written communications withabilityto effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization
Multitasks,prioritizesand meets deadlines intimelymanner
Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail
Ability tomaintainregular and predictable attendance
Ability to hand andlift upto 50 lbs. as needed for specific job functions
Must be able to sit and/or stand forlong periodsof time
Ability tofrequentlysit, stand, walk, reach within hands and arm?s length, stoop, kneel and crouch
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with electronic assembly andtestina medicaldevice industry preferred
Experience in GMP, ISO, and FDA controlled environments preferred
Abilityto work scheduled overtime asrequiredis preferred
