Overview
Tactica Solutions is searching for an HVAC Technician to provide field-level expertise for mechanical infrastructure planning and maintenance. This role supplies accurate equipment-condition data that supports reliable lifecycle, repair, and replacement decisions.
Location: Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii.
Serve as the tactical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for HVAC, refrigeration, and plant equipment supporting Mechanical Sub-AMP development and execution.
Perform detailed equipment-condition assessments and validate asset health information in the BUILDER Sustainment Management System (SMS).
Align daily operations and preventive maintenance activities with lifecycle strategies established in the Mechanical Sub-AMP.
Analyze failing equipment and provide technical recommendations to the Mechanical Engineer regarding repair-versus-replace decisions.
Support lifecycle cost decisions for high-value mechanical assets through accurate field data and technical evaluations.
Collaborate across multiple flights to coordinate oversight and execution of utility infrastructure projects.
Requirements
Education / Certification:
HVAC certification from an institution accredited in the United States.
Required Experience:
At least 3 years of military facility/infrastructure experience.
At least 5 years of HVAC experience.
Clearance:
Satisfactory outcome of a background investigation for Tier 1 access is required.
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. May include lifting weight up to thirty (30) pounds as necessary.
