Genesis10 is currently seeking a Core Java Developer for a Hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12 month contract opportunity.This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, server-side applications using Core Java and related technologies. The ideal candidate will optimize application performance, manage multi-threaded applications, and handle database interactions within a Linux environment, following Agile methodologies.
Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and maintain server-side applications using Core Java and related technologies
- Optimize application performance by tuning the Java Virtual Machine (JVM) and analyzing runtime behavior
- Develop and manage multi-threaded (concurrent) applications to ensure high performance and scalability
- Build and execute database interactions using JDBC, Oracle SQL, and PL/SQL (including stored procedures)
- Perform data profiling and processing using backend Java applications integrated with databases
- Work extensively in Linux environments, using shell scripting and command-line tools for development and troubleshooting
- Develop solutions using Java, Python, and shell scripts across the application lifecycle
- Guide and support offshore teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery
- Follow Agile methodology, participating in sprint planning, development, and continuous improvement
Requirements:- Proven experience with Core Backend Java development
- Strong understanding and experience with Multi-threading
- Proficiency with Oracle databases, including SQL and PL/SQL
- Experience with Python
