Location: Jersey City, New Jersey (Hybrid)Duration: 12 months Role Overview
An opportunity is available for an Enterprise Architect to support Enterprise Risk and Finance Technology (ERFT), Employee Experience Technology (EET), and other cross-line-of-business domains. The primary responsibilities will be to develop, institute, socialize, and govern architecture strategies, blueprints, and related frameworks. This role will also involve architecting and designing comprehensive end-to-end solutions that meet business requirements for a given portfolio and supporting the creation of high-level designs when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain domain architecture strategies, blueprints, and roadmaps to show system evolution from current to target state.
- Participate in architecture consulting to enable design decisions and lead design sessions where appropriate.
- Act as a control function to ensure designs adhere to blueprints, architectural principles, and enterprise standards.
- Support the compliance of designs with all relevant local laws and regulations.
- Identify risks to resolve issues and conflicting priorities, influencing a positive and effective outcome.
- Leverage technical expertise to support vendor selection, including recommendations for build vs. buy decisions.
- Support the development of prototypes and proof-of-concepts to validate designs.
- Contribute to the creation and evolution of architectural patterns, principles, and guidelines.
- Support the execution of the architecture governance board.
- Provide inputs to annual financial planning and other related activities.
Required Qualifications
Education: BSc-level degree in computer science or equivalent industry experience.
Experience: Experience with enterprise-level technology strategy in an architecture organization.
Technical Skills:- Application development knowledge and experience (Enterprise Applications, distributed services, design, analysis).
- Certification or extensive experience in architectural methodologies and standards (e.g., UML, BPMN).
- Knowledge of architecture, quality, and productivity methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Agile).
- Familiarity with modern application development and deployment (Automated Testing, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery).
- Broad-based IT knowledge (hardware, software, middleware, databases, cloud).
- Deep knowledge of Financial Services.
Leadership and Communication Skills:- Ability to understand and empathize with the key challenges faced by sponsors and stakeholders.
- Experience managing senior stakeholder expectations and building trust.
- Capacity to provide strategic vision based on balanced risk, financial, process, and resource factors.
- Skill in interpreting business needs and promoting innovative technology solutions.
- Ability to translate complex concepts into multiple architectural "views" for varying audiences.
- Experience working effectively in a matrix organization with minimal supervision.
